Peter Gokey Foundation Donates to Faith In Action

In December, the Peter Gokey family blessed Faith In Action with a generous donation. As of December 1, 2010, the Peter Gokey Foundation Board made the decision to dissolve and disperse its assets to local charitable organizations that provide support and services to the elderly, disabled or individuals with cancer. By dissolving the foundation and dispersing the funds, the Gokey family will now be able to contribute charitable donations each year after their Memorial Day fundraiser. The family feels this is the best way to carry forward the memory of Peter Gokey, while at the same time helping those in need in the Prairie du Chien community.

Based in Prairie du Chien, Wis., Faith in Action is a private, non-profit organization that brings together volunteers of all ages to help older adults improve their quality of life.
